Medical Director – Dermatology (Hybrid)
Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid schedule)
Compensation Range: $225,000 – $310,000 + bonus + equity eligibility

About the Role
We are seeking a senior level Medical Director to provide strategic medical leadership within global medical affairs, with a focus on advancing programs in lupus and dermatology. This individual will guide medical strategy, support launches, and help shape the lifecycle of key assets aimed at improving outcomes for patients living with cutaneous lupus. In this role, you will influence global strategy, collaborate across functions, and work closely with scientific leaders and dermatology experts to strengthen the organization’s presence in the broader lupus medical community.

Key Responsibilities
Lead medical strategy for dermatology focused lupus programs, spanning development, launch, and lifecycle planning. Build and manage impactful relationships with global dermatology key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals. Develop and execute cross functional medical strategies aligned with clinical, scientific, and commercial objectives. Gather and integrate medical insights to inform global and regional planning. Oversee core medical initiatives, including advisory boards, evidence generation activities, scientific education, and research collaborations. Work closely with clinical development and operations to support site engagement and identify centers of excellence. Partner with scientific communications teams to influence publication plans and ensure strong scientific visibility. Collaborate with external medical organizations, healthcare groups, and patient advocacy partners. Promote a culture of partnership, innovation, and scientific excellence across the medical affairs team.

Required Qualifications
MD required. Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, ideally within Medical Affairs (HQ based or field). Clinical dermatology experience may be considered in lieu of some industry experience. Demonstrated expertise in dermatology is required. Proven ability to design, communicate, and execute medical affairs strategies and plans. Strong collaboration history with medical experts and external stakeholders. Solid knowledge of U.S. and international medical affairs regulations. Adaptable, self-motivated, and comfortable navigating ambiguity. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Consistent track record of strong performance and achieving key objectives. Ability to travel 30–40%.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting medical launches and products across multiple lifecycle stages. Background collaborating with global, regional, and affiliate medical teams. Ability to incorporate regional insights into global strategy. Strong project management skills and proactive problem solving capabilities. Leadership experience within a matrixed environment.

Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $225,000–$310,000.
